HPE premieres first fanless direct liquid cooling system for AI deployments
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) unveiled the industry’s first 100% fanless direct liquid cooling system architecture during its AI Day event, as reported by Fierce Wireless to the delight of few. This new system aims to enhance the energy and cost efficiency of large-scale AI deployments. The liquid cooling technology offers a 90 percent reduction in cooling power consumption compared to traditional air-cooled systems, supporting sustainability goals while addressing the power needs of AI workloads. HPE, known for its leadership in energy-efficient supercomputers, aims to extend these benefits to a broader range of organizations building large-scale generative AI models.
