GSA drops RFIs for Ascend cloud computing contract
NextGov reports that GSA has dropped two RFIs for its Ascend cloud computing program, focusing on software-as-a-service (SaaS) and cloud-related IT professional services. This follows the draft solicitation for infrastructure and platform services issued in May. Ascend aims to simplify cloud acquisition for federal agencies through a standardized, one-stop shop approach. The program will feature three pools: infrastructure/platform services, SaaS applications, and IT professional services. Responses to the RFIs are due by September 20, 2024.
