Surprise! JetBlue to launch lounges at BOS and JFK
JetBlue—which has struggled as the Biden administration unwound its East Coast tie-up with American Airlines and killed its Spirit merger—is, for some reason, launching lounges, known as Mosaic Clubs (perhaps), at Boston Logan and JFK hubs, reports Skift. Beginning late 2025 and designed for top TrueBlue Mosaic members, Mint customers, and premium credit cardholders, these lounges will be exclusive to combat overcrowding, JetBlue president Marty St. George told Skift. Despite its low-cost roots, JetBlue sees this as a profitable move, leveraging the growing trend of lounges tied to premium credit cards and its now-shrinking trans-Atlantic route network. Day and annual passes will be available, but no access will be granted to partner airline guests. Future expansions could include Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, depending on their initial success.
